50th Anniversary

Happy New Year Gardeners!  This year marks the 50^th anniversary of the Honolulu Community Gardens.  To celebrate this milestone we are holding a celebration on Saturday September 13^th from 10am to 2pm at Foster Botanical Garden.  There will be music, food trucks, vendors and each garden will host a booth to showcase their garden.  As a fundraiser for this event, there are t-shirts, tote bags and garden aprons being sold.  The logo was created by a gardener at the Dole Community Garden.  You have until Feb 15^th to make your order.  Send in your order form to 50 N. Vineyard Blvd. Honolulu, Hi 96817. Checks should be made out to the Honolulu Garden Council.  They will accept cash or check.

December Holiday Party

 Aloha Manoa Community Gardeners....

Yes, we are having a Holiday Party this year.  It will be on Saturday, December 21st, starting at noon and going until around 2:30 p.m. in the meeting room space at the Manoa District Park. 

 

We have met there in years past but for those who are not sure of the location I will try to send a map in the follow up reminder closer to the event.  For now, the parking lot  in front of the meeting room is in the park at the end of Kaaipu Avenue.  

 

We have a committee of gardeners who are organizing the event. The pot luck party will follow a short business meeting where we will elect garden officers for 2025.  

 

Party time starts after the meeting.  Bring a tasty treat to share.  We will likely have around 40 attendees, but bring a dish that might be enough for a dozen or so. We usually have plenty of choices and enough food for all.
