Here is some info from the Hawaii Sierra Club about a free plant giveaway.
We are hosting our second Virtual Tree Planting event! Super volunteers and tree experts Randy Ching and Ed Mersino are hosting a free tree pick-up for plant enthusiasts on Oʻahu. Whether you have a community garden plot, yard, or balcony, we will have a variety of trees and plants from local nursery, Hui Kū Maoli Ola, that will thrive in your space.
Not only do you get a free tree, but our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to discuss the best tree for you, answer any questions you may have, and discuss how to care for your plant and help it thrive as we move into hotter and drier months. Here are some key details:
When: Saturday, February 19 2022 from 9 am - 1pm - trees/plants are first come first serve.
Where: Moanalua Middle School, 1289 Mahiole St., Honolulu HI 96819 (we will be set up in the parking lot)
Bring: A mask, yourself, friends and family!
